Jump
ropes are not simply children’s toys – they
are not simply for little girls to use out on the playground while chanting
rhymes. Rather, jump ropes can really and truly give you an excellent
workout.
If you do not believe this, try jump roping for even just
5 minutes straight. Your heart rate is going to go up, your breathing
will deepen, and you will get tired.
It is amazing how something as simple as jump ropes can really and
truly give you a full body exercise routine. Your legs are clearly getting
a workout as you jump and skip and hop on one foot or both. Your arms,
shoulders, and back get a workout as you turn the jump rope and even
cross it in front of you. And if you jump and bring your knees to your
chest or add in a twist and/or kick, you can really work your core,
as well.
Using a jump rope in your workout routine can really give you that
extra cardio and strengthening workout that you are looking for. And
one added benefit of jumping rope is that it is fun -- if it was not
fun, you surely would not see it out in the playground so often.
